Reducing facial wrinkles around the eyes, known as crow’s feet, with botulinum toxin, more commonly known as Botox, is a popular cosmetic procedure. Crow’s feet are fine lines extending from the outer corners of the eyes that occur due to frequent smiling and squinting.
Szczegóły zabiegu
Botulinum toxin works by temporarily blocking nerve impulses to the muscles responsible for these wrinkles, which leads to their relaxation. As a result, the skin around the eyes becomes smoother, and the face acquires a more youthful and rested appearance.
The procedure for reducing crow’s feet is short and minimally invasive, usually lasting from 15 to 20 minutes. Before the procedure, the patient has a consultation with a cosmetologist who assesses the skin condition and discusses the patient’s expectations and possible contraindications. After cleansing the skin, the doctor uses a very thin needle to precisely inject a small amount of botulinum toxin into several areas around the outer corners of the eyes, which minimizes discomfort. The effects become visible in a few days, and full results usually appear in about two weeks. The wrinkle-smoothing effect lasts for about three to six months, after which the procedure can be repeated to maintain the effect.
