Cracked blood vessels are a common aesthetic problem that is usually visible on the face, in areas such as the cheeks and nose, and on the lower legs. Vascular laser therapy is used to get rid of them.
Blood vessels naturally expand and contract in response to various external factors, such as temperature changes. When their walls are weak and fragile, they can be damaged, leading to ruptures.
This problem mostly affects people with a vascular complexion, but broken capillaries in the legs can also indicate circulatory problems. There are many causes of broken capillaries, but whatever their source, they are not aesthetically desirable. Fortunately, thanks to the development of aesthetic medicine, there are effective methods of dealing with these lesions, with vascular laser being one of the most common solutions.
Szczegóły zabiegu
During a vascular laser procedure, the doctor uses a device that emits light pulses of a precisely matched wavelength, which are absorbed by the red pigment in the blood, hemoglobin. The absorption of light energy causes the blood vessels to heat up and close effectively, which leads to their gradual resorption by the body. The procedure is usually well tolerated, and discomfort is minimized by cooling the skin.
The procedure lasts from several to several minutes, depending on the size and number of areas to be treated. The skin is cleaned before the procedure, and the patient and medical staff wear special protective goggles. In some cases, local anesthesia may be used.
After the procedure, the skin in the treated area may be slightly red and swollen, but these symptoms usually disappear within a few days. A series of treatments may be recommended to achieve the best results.
