The implantation of a healing screw is a dental procedure carried out after implantation to prepare the gingiva for the subsequent seating of a prosthetic crown. The healing screw shapes the soft tissues around the implant, which facilitates proper fixation of the future prosthetic restoration. The procedure is short, performed under local anesthetic, and is an important stage in the implant treatment.

Duration: 20-30 minutes.

Preparation: Control visit, and oral hygiene.

Course: Anaesthesia, gingival incision, removal of locking screw, insertion of healing screw.

Results: Formation of the gingiva and preparation of the site for the prosthetic crown.

Recovery: Mild swelling and minimal discomfort for 1-2 days, oral hygiene recommended.
