Porcelain crown on implant
Porcelain crown on implant
Umów wizytęOpis zabiegu
An implant-supported porcelain crown is the final stage of implant treatment, which involves the placement of an aesthetically pleasing and functional porcelain crown on a previously placed dental implant. The crown imitates a natural tooth in appearance, color and function, which restores a full smile and improves chewing ability.
Szczegóły zabiegu
Treatment consists of several stages:
- Consultation and planning – after the implant is fully integrated into the bone (osseointegration), the dentist takes impressions or digital scans of the patient’s mouth to accurately design the porcelain crown. The crown is matched in color, shape and size to the adjacent teeth to achieve a natural effect.
- Abutment fixation – after a period of gum healing around the treatment screw, the dentist fixes the abutment (support) that connects the implant to the crown. The abutment ensures the stability and strength of the entire structure.
- Placement of the porcelain crown – the final porcelain crown is fixed on the abutment. It can be screwed or cemented, depending on the technique chosen. A porcelain crown is durable, stain-resistant and looks almost identical to a natural tooth.
The whole process, from implantation to crown placement, can take from several months to a year, depending on the healing rate and the necessary stages.
