Lower eyelid plasty, or lower blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin, and fatty tissue or correct lower eyelid flaccidity. The aim of the procedure is to reduce ‘bags under the eyes’, and wrinkles and improve the contour of the lower eyelid, giving the face a younger, more rested appearance. The procedure is carried out under local or general anesthesia.

Preparation: Consultation, blood tests, avoidance of blood-thinning drugs.

Procedure: Classic method (incision under the lash line), removal of excess skin and fat tissue.

Results: Rejuvenation of the look, reduction of bags under the eyes; full effects after 2-3 months.

Recovery: Swelling and bruising subsides in 1-2 weeks; return to activity after 2-4 weeks.
