Upper eyelid plasty, or blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin, fat, and muscle in the upper eyelid area. The method improves the aesthetic appearance, giving the face a more youthful and rested look, and also eliminates functional problems such as a restricted field of vision caused by drooping eyelids. The procedure is performed under local anesthetic and allows for a permanent improvement in the appearance of the eye area.

Recovery: Swelling and bruising resolve in 1-2 weeks, sutures removed after 7 days; return to activity after 2-4 weeks.
