Dental sandblasting is a simple and non-invasive dental procedure that is performed to improve oral hygiene. In addition to a noticeable aesthetic effect, teeth sandblasting is also an important element in the prevention of caries, periodontal disease and other periodontal diseases. The sandblasting procedure involves cleaning the surface of the tooth with so-called dental sand, which is hard enough to get rid of plaque, including tartar, but at the same time soft enough not to damage the tooth enamel.
Szczegóły zabiegu
The teeth sandblasting procedure is not complicated. It is quick, simple and painless. First, the dentist will check the condition of the teeth and, if necessary, prescribe caries treatment or other procedures. In the next step, the dentist or hygienist will clean the surface of the teeth with so-called dental sand. After the procedure, you should not eat for at least two hours. Also, you should not brush your teeth on the day of the varnish application – up to 12 hours after the procedure. The sandblasting procedure is often combined with plaque removal as part of a so-called hygiene package.
